Li’l Steps Academy provides infant care in Brockton, MA for babies from 4 weeks
to 14 months — and when a little one is ready to move up sooner, they can
graduate to our toddler classroom early. We offer a safe, nurturing room with
low caregiver ratios that meet Massachusetts EEC standards, so your baby is well
cared for and closely watched all day.
We don’t just babysit your infant — we help foster their development by letting
them explore the world around them. Our caregivers are warm and attentive,
supporting and encouraging your child as they play with blocks, finger-paint,
and listen to music and stories. Social interaction is a crucial part of early
development, and those everyday moments — a shared smile, a turn-taking game,
a song together — are how babies first learn to connect, communicate, and trust.
Infant spots are limited and fill quickly. We accept PACE vouchers, so many
families pay little or nothing out of pocket. Call 508-894-6900 or schedule a
tour to come see our infant room and meet the team who’ll care for your baby.
Babies feel safe when their day is predictable, so our infant care is built
around consistent daily routines for feeding, napping, and play.
A steady rhythm helps babies settle, knowing what comes next, while our caregivers stay
attentive to each child within that routine.
Throughout the day, your caregiver tracks feedings, diaper changes, naps, and milestones, and shares them with you so you never feel out of the loop.
We also work with you to keep things as close as possible to what your baby is used to at home, easing the transition between your house and ours.
As your baby grows, that gentle routine helps them begin to develop independence and confidence — comfortable exploring a little more on their own while a familiar caregiver stays close.
Sleep is when growing babies do some of their most important work, so we take it seriously and we do it safely.
Each infant has their own crib, and we follow safe-sleep practices for every nap — babies placed on their backs, in a clean, uncluttered crib, always under close supervision.
Our nursery is kept calm, quiet, and dimly lit so little ones can settle easily, and we never wake a sleeping baby to fit a timetable. Nap times follow each child’s individual needs and stage of development, not a fixed clock.
As babies shift toward longer, more predictable sleep, we adjust right along with them — and we keep you updated on how your baby is resting during the day.
Tummy time is one of the simplest, most important parts of an infant’s day, and we build it in daily.
Supervised time on their tummy helps babies strengthen the neck, back, and shoulder muscles they need to lift their heads, roll, sit, and eventually crawl.
Our caregivers get down on the floor with your baby — using toys, mirrors, songs, and plenty of encouragement to make it playful, not frustrating.
As your child grows stronger and more curious, we encourage them to reach, explore, and start learning to label their world, supporting hand-eye coordination and early communication.
Every one of these small moments is a li’l step toward a confident, capable child.
